From Sicily To Phuket – A Spread of Italian Flavours From Sicilian Family Recipes
The menu at Little Roma Phuket focuses on classic dishes and Italian favorites, although some of the popular dishes do have a Thai twist. Using high quality ingredients imported directly from Italy. Their menu boasts a selection of Italian appetizer boards & sandwiches, starters & salads, soups, Italian chef suggestions, pastas & risottos, pizzas, fish, and meat & burgers. What we were really impressed with was the dedicated selection for vegetarians as well as Italo-Thai Fusion and a kid’s menu. To complete the very large menu, Little Roma holds an extensive wine & Champagne list, as well as options of other non alcoholic drinks such as their delicious mocktails and healthy fresh pressed juices. At Little Roma, we truly felt that there is something for everyone on the menu.

Little Roma tops off their dishes with a creative presentation, and when the dishes arrive at your table, you will know that you are in for an authentic Italian-style feast!
Our Lunch Experience At Little Roma Phuket …
We dropped by Little Roma Restaurant in Laguna for an Italian Lunch. Naturally, as we were starving, we ordered a lot of dishes to satiate our Italian cravings. So what did we order? Our selection included Tom Yum Risotto, Margherita Pizza, the Little Roma Board, and Milanese della Nonna.
We started with the Little Roma Board, a feast in itself! The Little Roma Board is a heaping charcuterie board loaded with Parma ham AOC 24 months, Burrata di bufala, wild boar speck, Italian cooked ham truffle, mortadella, spicy salami, Parmesan, Sicilian pecorino spicy, Sicilian pecorino stagionato, bell pepper stuffed with tuna and three kinds of bruschetta – zucchini and goat cheese, peppers and anchovies, tomatoes, mozzarella, garlic and basil. Served with THE spectacular Smokaccia, a new type of Italian sourdough bread flavored with the finest Italian herbs and smoked hickory wood. Lighter than standard bread, the Smokaccia is crispy outside and soft inside and made with organic tomatoes and olives and extra virgin olive oil. It’s divine!
The Margherita Pizza was a simple, classic combination of tomato, basil and mozzarella, but the real surprise is that the pizza crust was stuffed with fresh ricotta. The pizza was light and delicious and left us satisfied without feeling overly full.
Their Tom Yum Risotto evoked the flavors of a Thai classic Tom Yum Soup and was loaded with fresh seafood. This is a truly delicious dish and a wonderful take on Italo-Thai fusion cuisine.
Served on a flat, wooden board, the Milanese della Nonna is a 200g pan-fried chicken with eggs, bread crumbs, parmesan, salt, pepper, herbs, parsley and garlic. It’s served with savory sauteed potatoes in garlic and parsley. This dish was really flavorful – the chicken was succulent and perfectly breaded while the accompanying sauteed potatoes were prepared to perfection. And to top it all off, the waiters at Little Roma were very diligent in making sure our water was always full or empty glasses were replaced with new drinks throughout our meal.
Cannoli in Phuket?! Italian fried pastries stuffed with a sweet, creamy filling…
Cannoli in Phuket?! If you have ever tried these anywhere else in the world you would know this is not a dessert to miss out on. Even if your tummy is begging you to stop. Would you say no to Italian fried pastry stuffed with sweet, creamy filling? If your answer was no, we highly recommend you reconsider.
So, after much deliberation amongst the team, we chose Cannoli Siciliani and their Thai Italian Fusion Panna Cotta. Little Roma’s Cannoli Siciliani is a traditional dish made of Cannoli wafers, ricotta, pistachio and sugar icing. Both sweet and crispy, this dessert is a real highlight of an authentic Italian dolci. The Thai Italian Fusion Panna Cotta was absolutely luscious – a panna cotta made with coconut milk, basil and topped with fresh mango. Sweet and smooth, this dessert was the perfect way to end our dining experience at Little Roma Phuket.
